| I think you need to be able to access a list of all the people in the data base. I don't think you can do that currently. |

Agreed! I just imported a test GEDCOM file, and I can search and find people there, but I don't know why there's no link between my main / root person, and the folks I'm finding. (I used a big file, and it rooted at me, but I guess it didn't bring in my parents before it hit the limit on the number of people I can bring in at my user level.)
As a workaround, I exported the whole file, and I'll examine it using another program, see what the double-translation has wrought... |

I agree this is an overlooked feature. Currently, the Quick Search feature
is all that's available that somewhat accomplishes the task. This issue
has already been addressed in our 2.0 version of PedigreeSoft, but since
that won't be generally available for several months, we've actually
placed this on our fix-list for the current version. We release updates to
the live, current version on a monthly schedule. This should make it in
to the April update. |

Amazing that it was overlooked. Having an index or similar is very needed. My large database is virtually useless without the ability of being able to go to different names or locations within the database.
I have well over 1,000 William Carpenters out of 109,000 and without a RIN number or a decent search feature, I am frustrated.
How soon will the next update be ready? |
